NTIA (the governemtn office handling the program) said today that the coupons would begin being sent out on February 17th. I would still wait till I see the devices in stores before I send for the coupon. The track record of this coupon program has been less than stellar. Since there will be plenty of time before you need them, i.e. Feb. 18, 2009.

The good news is that Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City and many other national retailers have been authorized to sell the converters and to accept the coupons.

When I noodled around with it last week, I discovered that you won't get the coupon until the devices are actually stocked, and THEN you have 90 days to use your coupon.
